I have loved great food and wine for as long as I can remember. I chose to study for an MA in French because it was the best educational excuse I could come up with to eat and drink my way around a country that delivers such great pleasures on both counts.
Since then I've notched up years in the wine trade – both buying and selling – and travelled to the vineyards of the world at every given opportunity. As you'd expect I've also got my Wine & Spirits Educational Trust Diploma. I'm happy to admit that it's an incomplete education and I never tire of tasting new wines and visiting new places.
The bulk of my spare time is devoted to riding my young pony and getting him (and me!) ready to event and walking the very excitable dog. When I'm not doing that I'm cooking or reading.
